Major industries minister J Geeta Reddy reportedly met President Pranab Mukherjee and narrated to him an alleged incident at AP Bhavan where she was pushed in the presence of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.
She reportedly told the President that being a lady she had been insulted and pushed while the CM was watching and this is unacceptable. Some are also giving it the caste color given the fact that Geeta happens to be from Dalit community.
She also added that CM Kiran was disrespecting womanhood and also disrespecting the whole of people of Telangana. Geeta Reddy was part of a delegation consisting of state ministers and MPs of Congress from Telangana region which met the President to stress the need for granting separate statehood.
She earlier broken down while narrating her alleged manhandling by security personnel at Andhra Bhavan and sources now say that she will also be taking the Sridhar Babu route and will most likely resign after Rajya Sabha elections gets over by evening!
