Predictions of everyone turned true. Without any miracles, Telangana bill is getting ready to be placed in Rajya Sabha as President Pranab Mukherjee gave green signal to the Telangana bill. This cleared decks for the speedy division of Telugu people and Telugu land of Andhra Pradesh.
Lot of speculation occurred with an erudite like Pranab Mukherjee being the President. Many felt that only Pranab can put brakes on Union Government's speed. However all the hopes of seemandhra people came crashing down. Since long many felt that President is just a rubber stamp and it was proven on many occasions.
When Abdul Kalam was President, all congress men asked Sonia to become Prime Minister and even she agreed. There is rumour that Manmohan Singh became Prime Minister only due to Kalam raising objection to Sonia's foreign origin.
Though President has full power to utilise his special rights, many never realised. Many feel Pranab too fell in this category by merely signing the Telangana bill blindly.
