Former Union minister and NTR's daughter D Purandareshwari is all set to give up her Visakhapatnam seat with reports that BJP election committee is in favour of shifting Purandareshwari to Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency.
While there are reports of a possible alliance with TDP, the Seemandhra BJP election committee is reportedly going forward with this proposal. If this happens for real then an interesting situation will arise for TDP.
Seemandhra BJP president Haribabu is expected to be considered for contesting from Visakhapatnam. Now in case alliance works out with TDP, then she will have to be supported by Naidu.
But it has to be seen whether Naidu can entertain this proposal because he has given assurance three years back to Kesineni Nani who also spent crores of rupees in the region and also funded some part of Babu's padyaathra. This is why he also denied the seat to Potluri Vara Prasad recently!
