Even though there is no official alliance between two parties, CPI(M) joins hands with YSRCP in SA elections. In particular, two parties have jointly worked aiming to defeat BJP in its segments. CPI(M) district level committees discussed among them and decided to support YSRCP in all BJP contested Assembly segments. CPI(M) is contested on its own for 31 Assembly Segments and Two Parliament Segments and supports Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) in 18 Assembly and 2 Parliament Segments. JSP will support CPI(M) in other segments. This is the common understanding between two parties. CPI(M) will support to YSRCP to defeat BJP and TDP alliance where JSP impact is very minute. CPI(M) decides to extend its support to YSRCP in Rajampet Parliament. Purandreswari is the candidate from BJP from this segment. It’s national policy of CPI(M) to form alliance non-Congress and Non-BJP. CPI(M) leaders defend their stand in SA. YSRCP ignored CPI(M) open invitation for the alliance in SA. YSRCP believed that TDP will gain if alliance is formed with CPI(M).
