Local compulsions including bitter rivalry between YSRCP leader P Ramachandra Reddy and Jai Samaikandhra Party boss Kiran Kumar Reddy have reportedly brought the TDP, the BJP and the JSP together for a tough fight against the YSRCP in Pileru Assembly and Rajampet parliamentary constituencies. Kiran and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu are known for not sharing any warm relations, but sources say TDP supporters will be backing JSP’s Kishan Kumar Reddy in Pileru while JSP cadre will be supporting BJP’s Rajampet MP candidate D Purandareswari. Sources say Kiran always maintained a close contact with local TDP cadres and activists when he was CM and now TDP’s help is expected to give the edge and, in turn, JSP will be supporting Purandareswari. Purandareswari is now expecting to put up a good show though she entered the race as dark horse, using the charisma that she is the daughter of TDP founder NT Rama Rao. Pileru also has a significant Kamma population supporting TDP and have now rallied behind her and they are fine to support JSP candidate for Assembly in exchange of their support for her.
