The Telugu Desam Party may have been severely affected by TRS surge in Telangana this time around but the party which has immense cadre support may be down but not out. The results of the sub-level polls seem to be giving a strong indication about that.
Yesterday, the TDP secured Gajwel municipality though TRS party top brass settled here during polls to ensure victory. Out of 22 wards, TDP won around 11 wards while TRS got 8 wards and Congress 3 wards.
Today again, it became the turn of TDP which won majority of MPTC’s in Gajwel in Medak district and secured even the prestigious ZPTC here trouncing TRS. So far, Gajwel has been considered the strongest fort for the TRS boss KCR but all that seems to be shaking.
This is due to one man Prathap Reddy. Local sources reveal Prathap Reddy commands mass following here and after rubbing salt to the wounds of TRS, it has to be seen whether he can even upset KCR’s victory plans for Gajwel Assembly seat in another two days time!
