Today, Wednesday 21st of May, 2014 would for sure be a sad day for the to-be sworn in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The reason is that he will be resigning to his present post of the Chief Minister for the state of Gujarath. Modi has a strong bonding with the state as this is his continuous term as the Chief Minister of Gujarath. He is been heading the state for more than twelve continuous years and developed the state far more than what one could expect. As Narendra Modi is been appointed now by the President Pranab Mukherjee as the Prime Minister of India, Modi will have to now resign both for the CM post and his legislative membership. In this sequence, Modi would be resigning today for the both. Gujarat state BJP spokesman Harsad Patel said that Narendra Modi will submit his resignation at around 3.30 pm on Wednesday as the Chief Minister. As per pre-designed schedule of the Prime Minister after his resignation would attend a special Bharatiya Janata Party state legislative meeting being held to elect the new leader for the Gujarat state to replace Modi. Later the BJP delegation would be accompanied by Modi to call on the Governor with the new leader elected to be appointed as the Chief Minister before submitting his resignation as MLA to Speaker Vajubhai Vala. Modi is also scheduled his time to attend the swearing in ceremony of the new Chief Minister at the Mahatma Mandir at Gandhi Nagar on Thursday. All this is a happy occasion, but would leave back Narendra Modi in a sad status from heart as he is having to leave his bonding with Gujarat state after serving the people for 12+ years since 7th October 2001, the day Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of India on May 26.
