India celebrated the victory of NDA and extended their jubiliations when modi was sworn in as PM on 26th.this is the first PM candidate who was elected with high hopes of delivering poll promises failing which the same people who voted him would defeat nda in the next elections. unfortunately, the first cabinet meeting that met yesterday evening had no agenda in the first place. while the agenda items were not shared to the media as is the practice, even after the meeting is over, none of the cabinet ministers answered or briefed the media about what policy decisions they took in the meeting. ravi shankar prasd, the law minister simply told media that they formed an SIT as per apex court direction and also discussed safety measures to prevent rail accidents. discussing about safety measures whenever a train accident happens has become a formality for all central governments in power and NDA is proving no different as the concerned railway minister did not announce any specific measurable move or initiative. With no policy direction, no initiative announcement, the first cabinet meeting of NDA is a nonevent. on the contrary compare the cabinet meetings of UPA earlier which have an agenda item of many policy decisions and over and above those, they also bring table items and BJP used to complain why such hurry in deciding so many issues. Is NDA deliberately going slow or is afraid of taking action and fulfilling the poll promises, only time will tell. already people are becoming disappointed with no firm, visible measure from NDA on fulfilling their poll promise
