In what is being seen as an unplanned and incoherent strategy, the YSRCP leaders in Telangana have declared conditional support to TRS. This can be said like something expected given the way Jagan and KCR have been staying safe with each other. There were widespread speculations that TRS might indeed enlist the support of Jagan’s MLAs in Telangana in case it fell short of majority and provided they get more than five seats. But that situation didn’t arise. Jagan’s party only has one MP and three MLA’s in TG that too from Khammam district and this expression of ‘conditional support’ will definitely anger its Seemandhra unit which is the only lifeline for the party as of now. Political analysts say that such decisions show lack of maturity and direction and it is high time Jagan must clean up his act! Maybe this is a phase when YSRCP is desperately looking for a bigger party to latch on so that its strength can be sustained.
