Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his family have been going through a rough phase. After the young cricketer, now his father Yograj Singh has been diagnosed with fatal disease Cancer. According to media reports, Yograj, a former cricketer, has been under treatment in a hospital in US.
The 54-year-old was suffering from vocal chord cancer. Yograj Singh is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital in New York and has already undergone surgery to remove a tumor in his vocal cords. It is believed that Yograj was diagnosed with cancer a few months back after his voice chocked and he developed breathless.
Sources also said that while Yuvraj suggested that his father get treated in the same hospital that he had joined, but Yograj chose another hospital.
Yograj’s wife Satveer Kaur said: “He would often complain about throat pain and cough. But he never let us know what was going on. He would take medicines and be fine for a while. But when the problem got worse, he had to tell us.Thanks to the Almighty, the tumour was removed about 20 days back and he is recovering now. He has been advised not to talk till he has recovered completely''
Yograj, who also acted in famous Bollywood movie 'Bhag Milkha Bhag', married Satveer Kaur after divorcing his first wife Shabnam Singh, Yuvraj's mother.Yograj played 1 Test and 6 ODIs for India. Yuvraj was diagnosed in 2011 with a cancerous tumor in his left lung and underwent chemotherapy treatment in Boston and Indianapolis.
