The three-day review meet of YSRCP for the North Coastal Andhra and the Godavari districts started in Rajahmundry recently. Party president Jagan had presided over the meet and for East Godavari, the review meeting was held for five Assembly segments of Tuni and Prathipadu Peddapuram.
This happened even as many leaders expressed fear over harassment by the TDP which is now the ruling party. Sources say that Jagan Mohan Reddy allayed their fears and assured them that he would stand by them even at the state level.
Jagan reportedly said that assurances by TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu on loan waiver for farmers and women SHGs including intensive campaigning as well as Narendra Modi factor played a role in YSRCP’s defeat.
Jagan for the first time also reportedly acknowledged that power star Pawan Kalyan’s campaign made a difference. Well a honest admission given that Sharmila once called Pawan a dog while party leaders called him baccha to politics!
