Akkineni family multi-starrer Manam is one-of-its-kind film in the history of Indian cinema. The director narrates a complex plot with simplicity. His film has emerged from a simple thought – How would it be if human love is passed on from one life to another?
Though it is a simple thought it requires lot of hard work to present it on screen without making confusion. Manam is beautifully strewn with actors but their roles are so well defined that they make it an easy watch. If we observe clearly many key sequences of ‘Manam’ are linked to a clock tower. Retro characters of main leads Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Shriya Saran and Samantha Ruth Prabhu die at the same spot in different accidents and in different time periods.Hats off to the director for the way he uses the clock tower and 10.20 time to link the story.
