Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly created a detailed plan so as to allocate 4 Prestigious Institutions each for Vijayawada-Guntur & Vishakhapatnam region, and 3 others in Tirupati region which is going to be the lifeline of Rayalaseema region soon.
The 11 National institutions are expected to come up in AP as per the AP Reorganization Act while sources say Naidu is giving equal prominence to all the 3 regions namely South Andhra, North Andhra & Rayalaseema for finalizing the locations for these eleven institutions.
The Vijayawada-Guntur Circuit is expected to get All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) - [200 acres]; Agricultural University (AU) - [500 acres], National Institute of Technology (NIT) - [300 acres]; and National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) - [10 acres].
Visakhapatnam Circuit will likely get Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - [200 acres]; Tribal University - [500 acres]; International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) - [100 acres] and Petroleum University [200 acres].
Tirupati Circuit will be allocated; Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) - [200 acres], Central University [500 acres] and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - [300 acres].
