The Centre has reportedly vetoed the request of Andhra Pradesh to give additional powers to the governor and also make him the in charge for law and order in Hyderabad city by quoting that the powers and role by the governor of Telangana has been defined clearly in the AP Reorganization Act-2014. Andhra Pradesh government led by Chandrababu has made this request due to threats from the TRS government in TS for taking back land belonging to Seemandhra politicians and businessmen in and around the city of Hyderabad. Union home secretary Anil Goswami has reportedly made this clear to Rajiv Sharma and IYR Krishna Rao, the current chief secretaries of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively in a meeting in Delhi on Thursday.  The meeting was reportedly convened for defusing the growing tensions between the two states regarding sharing of water and power. With this KCR can heave a sigh of relief as there won’t be any governor domination over him.
