It is hardly a few days since the new conservative led Government was into power in Greece. This new Government which is facing insurmountable economic problems is already showing signs of its ineptitude in its functioning. The new finance minister, whose role is going to be very crucial in the debt stricken and austerity bitten Greece, resigned to his post, on Monday i.e.25th of June, on ground of ill health. He was hospitalized on Friday, before his swearing in ceremony.  So was the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, who also could not make it to the European summit of June 28-29th, where in the negotiations for the mellowing of the terms of the International bailout for the Greece is to take place. Samaras had undergone an eye surgery on 20th of June. Now of late; the deputy merchant marine minister; Giorgos Vernikos has resigned to his cabinet berth; as he is linked to a company which was banned under the Greece laws. Thus it is not just the Greece economy that is ailing, it is the Greece ruling party too, which is under severe pressure, since the day one of its assuming of power.  The false promises made to the people of Greece, in order to secure the election victory, are now turning out to be the malaise for the conservative New Democracy party Government. This of course might be the reason for this 'ill health' of the new Government and its non-starter attitude. The presence of Samaras and his colleagues at the European summit would have exposed the hypocritical nature of the promises made by their  party to secure the Greece election. But anyway it looks like that the second round of Greece elections are also going against the knot...with the only relief now of this round being, that a Government was formed at least, unlike in the first round of elections held in May.
