In a city where sickos seem to be having a field day, one courageous young woman has sent out a powerful message worth emulating.
According to the reports a Bangalore woman Veena Ashiya Chindlur, was on her daily jog in a park in Bangalore, when a man started “eve-teasing” her.Rather than letting it pass, the lady decided to chase him, forced him on to his knees before kicking him in the head.The lady friend, who was working out along with her, immediately pulled out her phone and recorded the entire chase.The brave lady posted the video on Facebook.
"I was eve teased this morning by a guy in a park where I run regularly! I chased him - hit him hard and filed an FIR. Police was extremely supportive. I am posting this video for women to know that change will happen only when we want it to happen!" the woman said in a Facebook post , hours after the incident.
The same video has been handed over to police and they nabbed the culprit.The accused has been identified as K R Suryaprakash, 30, a resident of Banashankari III Stage. In the FIR, the police say the accused made lewd gestures. A case has been registered under IPC section 354 (A) and section 509. Section 509. The accused was sent to court and let off on bail.
