TDP and BJP alliance swept all 15 Assembly and 2 Parliament Segments in West Godavari district in general elections. YSRCP failed to win not even single Segment in the district. Two parties were formed the governments in Central and State respectively with comfortable majorities. It seems that there is healthy co-ordination between two party leaders at national and state level.
The situation is different when it comes to West Godavari district. Both parties have blamed each other in Achanta election. TDP blames that BJP couldn’t co-operate for Pithani’s victory and Gokaraju was ignored financial assistance to Pithani at the time of election. That causes rift among two parties. Congress Senior Leader Kavuri Samba Siva Rao also joined in BJP just before the election. BJP was ignored to give party ticket from Eluru to Kavuri.
Recently, Government took back the encroached lands of YSRCP leader in the district. YSRCP leader is very much close to the Kavuri Samba Siva Rao. Kavuri challenged TDP leaders and would not tolerate TDP leader’s atrocities in the district. TDP also gave counter to Kavuri. District Chairman Bapiraju questioned Kavuri whether he is related BJP or YSRCP. Bapiraju said, “What’s wrong in taken back the lands from YSRCP leader?” State level leaders haven’t interfered in this spat.
