DMK Government filed case against Jayalalitha in 1996 on claiming charges that she earned illegal assets during she was Chief Minister in 1991-1996. On December 07th, 1996 police did raid in Poes Garden and found Kilos of Gold and 12K sarees. That created huge political rivalry in TN between DMK and AIDMK.
