With the issue of land pooling for proposed Andhra Pradesh capital Vijayawada now taking a slight serious turn, sources say that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is getting into the field directly. Some pockets in the surrounding areas have been showing resistance to this idea.
After lengthy meetings for last three days with the Cabinet subcommittee on land polling, Chandrababu is determined not to allow Congress and YSRCP to exploit some of the anti-TDP sentiments brewing in some of the mandals.
Previously, nearly 50% of farmers have agreed to handover land and Naidu is enthused by the fact that now more than 65 % of them have consented to do so. Naidu feels that there is only some pocket for resistance left.
And he has reportedly sent his word to farmers in Tullur and other regions that he would be coming directly to address their concerns. Even TDP cadre feels that once Naidu enters the scene, then things would take a different turn.
