There are many issues and problems between AP and Telangana in sharing of water and generation of electricity. AP Government wrote a letter to Central Government and Centre Water Committee (CWC) on their intervention in resolving the issues. AP urged Union Government to implement the Act of the Telangana Bill. AP Government wants Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Krishna and Godavari rivers that flows in two states. Telangana Government electricity production at Srisailam Reservoir on Krishna River causes rift between two states. Krishna Board ordered Telangana Government not to produce the electricity below the limits of the water level in reservoir. This enrages Telangana Government and questioned the Power of Krishna Board. Telangana Chief Minister lashes in his own style and called it’s Chairman as “Sannasi”. AP mentioned in its letter that release of the water and production of the electricity should bring under the purview of the River Board Management. This helps the effective functioning of the board in producing the electricity. AP request is already mentioned in Telangana Bill. If generation of electricity comes under Krishna Board control, Telangana could not produce the electricity without the permission of the Board.
