There are reports that close to 30 names, including Nita Ambani, would be featuring in a list of probables that would be part of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive board, expected be constituted in the next few days by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.
In addition to Nita Ambani from the Reliance Group, other contenders reportedly are film director K Raghavendra Rao, AP BJP spokesperson G Bhanuprakash Reddy and actor Shivaji even as top BJP leadership including Amit Shah and Union minister Sadanand Gowda have reportedly recommended names from other parts of India.
TTD chairman has one clear aspirant and it is TDP senior leader Chadalawada Krishnamurthy from Chittoor district. The TTD board usually has around 15 members, including the chairman but this is being increased to 18 this time.
This is being done to accommodate those from Telangana. Prior to this, it was Kanumuri Bapiraju and before him, it was Adikesavulu Naidu who ran the show as TTD chairmen but the inclusion of Nita Ambani into the board is sure a smart move, say many.
