Chief Minister KCR showered praises on his son-in-law Harish Rao and termed him as precious pearl. Adressing different meetings during his tour to Karimnagar and Medak district, the Chief Minister announced several sops for the Siddipet constituency. KCR was participating at Siddipet Water Grid program aimed at creating awareness among his cabinet colleagues on its functioning after conducting aerial survey along with some officials here. Besides promising to elevate Siddipet as a district, he stated that this segment will get a new railway line and irrigation waters. KCR assured that besides spending Rs 4.8 crore for modernisation of Komati Cheruvu near Siddipet, Rs 2 crore will be spent to promote tourism. He said a filter bed would be constructed near the lake which would provide drinking water to the entire Siddipet constituency. While addressing the meet KCR praised his nephew and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and described him as a precious pearl and a strategist who will fetch funds for projects being taken up. He asked Harish to take the responsibility to get irrigation waters to this region. KCR also recalled the difficulties that were faced to supply drinking water to Siddipet.. He said that the Siddipet model could be replicated in implementation of Water Grid project which aims to provide tap water to all households across Telangana. He assured that funds would not be a problem for the implementation of Water Grid project which has been given top priority by the State Government.
