There has been a lot of hype and publicity doing rounds regarding the proposed water grid project (jalajaalam) in Telangana region as dreamt by the Telangana Chief Minister KCR. KCR has already declared that he would not be seeking any votes if he fails to deliver on this project. He feels this would change the domain of drinking water access in the new state. Involving a massive 20,000 km long pipelines that would reach every nook and corner of the state, KCR recently took all his MLAs on a tour of lower Manair dam near Karimnagar. And he also took them to his former constituency of Siddipet. KCR reportedly said that he executed this project when he was a minister in TDP cabinet and used his best intelligence to create a water grid that has eradicated the drinking water problems of Siddipet. One thing to be mentioned is that he achieved this under his current enemy Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure as CM, the question is why didn’t KCR do this for all places in Telangana state. Now that the topic has come up, let us see if KCR does a total revamp of this.
