Indians are achieving great heights in world’s software market.Last year Telugu guy Satya Nadella promoted as Microsoft CEO and it made many Telugu’s proud.Now another south Indian achieved higher position.A Boy from Bengaluru, Thomas Kurian has been appointed as president of software giant Oracle. The elevation of Kurian comes almost four months after Larry Ellison took on the role of executive chairman. Larry Ellison wrote an email to employees to announce Kurian's appointment. Forty-seven year old Kurian, who joined Oracle in 1996, was previously executive vice president in charge of product development. Since Kurian took on the executive vice president position in 2009, annual sales in Oracle’s software division have grown from $18.9 billion to $29.2 billion. Kurian hails from Kerala and he is an alumnus of Bengaluru's St Joseph's Boys High School. He holds a BA in electrical engineering from Princeton University and he also has an MBA from Stanford University Prior to Oracle, Kurian worked with McKinsey and Company as a consultant serving clients in the software, telecommunications, and financial services industries.
