Former Congress MP and also the owner of V6 television channel Gaddam Vivekanand aka Vivek has reportedly spurned a lucrative offer made by the TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Vivek is considered to be a strongman of Congress.

KCR has reportedly invited Vivek to comeback into TRS and also had offered to field him from the Warangal parliamentary constituency for the soon expected by-elections, since sitting MP Kadiam Srihari has been made the Deputy Chief Minister of TS State Cabinet.

Vivek, who had joined pink party few years ago, returned to the Congress fold last year, after the latter granting separate Statehood to the Telangana region. KCR wanted Vivek to contest from Warangal given the fact that is rich and influential coupled with the sympathy factor from his father G Venkatswamy, who passed away recently.

However, Vivek seems to have rejected the offer, saying this would be improper for him to change parties very often and he is also scared of facing resistance from local TRS cadres in Warangal, since he is from Adilabad. He might now contest on Congress ticket itself.
