It has been disclosed that many minors were sexually and physically assaulted at an orphanage at Rampally in Keesara. Jaggula Ahron, the landlord of Dream Home for Orphans, reportedly accustomed to molest minor girls and beat up other children. His wife J. Glory too blamed of torturing the children.
The legal officer of the District Child Welfare Committee had registered a complaint with the Cyberabad police, Almost 11 HIV+ children and 18 other orphans stayed in the Home. Ahron used to molest the girls, who are at least 13-14 years old. He even abused the HIV+ children. The kids had no one to turn to, said M. Vijayadevi, member of the CWC.
When they got informed that the kids were being abused, They sent a team to verify the issue. they discovered that Ahron and his wife used to abuse the children. One girl had deep injuries on her thighs after Glory beat her with sticks. One more boy had sustained a head injury, but he was not taken to the hospital, she added.
After the CWC team visited the Dream Home, they notified the police and moved the children to a government-run home. They have booked an instance against the pair for sexual harassment. They have introduced a manhunt for the duo, said Keesara inspector P. Guruva Reddy.
