The former MP and the staunch champion of Samaikyandhra Lagadapati Rajagopal, the millionaire politician who was the first person to resign as MP in December 2009 and fuel United AP movement is in a state of political wilderness.

Confident that Telangana would never happen, he announced that he would be quitting politics if statehood is given, but anyway kept his vow of leaving politics. But now his followers in Krishna district have reportedly started piling up pressure on this MP.

They are saying the time is ripe for his comeback into active politics and pick up the bricks for Navyandhra. While his critics say this is being masterminded by him indirectly, others say that he has a cult status as the one who fought till the end to stall AP bifurcation.

Given that efforts, he should be into the reckoning and there is nothing wrong when his followers pressurize him to come back. What remains to be seen is which party will Lagadapati join if he decides to return.
