There are times when there are heavy infighting instances between Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh and the recent instance of clash between officials and policemen on Nagarjuna Sagar dam is fresh in memory.
However, a national daily has reported some positive news which offers a glimmer of hope for both states. AP has reportedly offered a stake in an upcoming Greenfield seaport on its coast as part of its efforts in building 12 new ports.
Sources say that AP has offered Ramayapatnam or Duggarajupatnam which are not that far from TS but this is only an informal proposal. A formal proposal is expected to be made soon and ministers and CM of TS, KCR are also very much eager to finalize this.
This is because it may spur the right development prospects for Telangana towards future. This initiative is a welcome change which is much needed because both states can only help each other now that the Centre doesn’t seem too interested.
