It is a known fact that the proposed AP capital region is slowly taking shape, but again yet to formally take off due to many constraints, mainly the opposition to this project.
Recently this matter was taken up as a PIL in Supreme Court of India and for those opposing and those supporting capital in agricultural lands, all eyes were on this given the high stakes involved.
Today, the Supreme Court of India has reportedly refused to entertain a petition and infact dismissed it saying there would be issues with such new capital proposals, but it would refuse to intervene.
The court has put the onus on the state saying it would take care of all issues arising due to the land being taken off for the proposed capital and added that it will not intervene, which is being seen as a welcome relief for Chandrababu.
