An earthquake again hit the already devastated Nepal measuring 7.1 on Ritcher scale. It is reported to have taken place at 12.35 pm on Tuesday


The new earthquake hit Kathmandu which was already damaged on April 25th with an unexpected out break of the earth's crust. The first incident took away more than 20,000 lives. However, today the reports say that 42 were dead. 


The tremors did not confine to Nepal but crept into India's Northern states giving a jerk to Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam and Jharkand. The slight tremors in these northern states made people run onto the streets leaving their homes. 


Coming to the Andhra Pradesh state's border, Rajahmundry felt few tremors that lasted for a few seconds. The quake today rocked 10kms away from the base camp of the Mt. Everest. The relief operations are being carried out in the affected areas.
