Inaction and inept attitude of MPs from Andhra Pradesh is attracting the anger of people. Many organisations started protesting against MPs who remained silent in Parliament when PM Narendra Modi's government made it clear that there will be no special status to the newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh.
This came as rude shock for people as Union Government never made such announcement earlier in Parliament though some Ministers have made such comments in media interactions. During that time MPs and Andhra Pradesh government said Union Government will keep its promise.

After the announcement in Parliament, none of the MPs opened their mouths much to the shock of people who had high hopes and elected them to fight for special status. Many organisations, student communities yesterday protested taking a rally to MP JC.Diwakar Reddy. They presented him set of saree, bangles, turmeric and bindis. AISF activists shouted that MPS Diwakar Reddy and Nimmala Kishtappa should wear the sarees.
With the
MPs not coming out of their houses, protestors placed sarees in front of their
house. They warned that from now on MPs will be welcomed with eggs and tomatos
wherever they go.
