On an average 400 to 500 people were travelled daily through Gannavaram. The results are same in two surveys done by AP Government and Airport Authority of India (AAI) on Gannavaram Airport. Passengers who prefer to travel in aero planes increased in Gannavaram. It seems people can see in few days on landing and take-off of international flights in Gannavaram. 

In July’15, 35K people were travelled through Gannavaram when compared to 15K people in same month in 2014. Gannavaram Airport reached the 126.9% occupancy rate in July’15. Though it is not modernized, Gannavaram Airport importance increased all the sudden after the announcement of AP Capital near Vijayaewada. Airport has good connectivity with NH-5 that make easier to Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Godavari district people to reach Gannavaram.

In this survey, people from Krishna and Guntur districts were travelled to US, UK and EU nations. Godavari and Prakasam district people flyover to South East Asian Nations like Singapore, Malaysia and Hongkong and Gulf Countries. As per the stats of AAI Survey, 400 people travelled to foreign countries regularly from Gannavaram. Both Union and State Governments decided to extend the Airport further more that facilitates to land International flights.
