The word settlers looks insulting and demeaning but supporters of Telangana statehood coined it and from then on political parties especially TRS led by KCR and others used the world to attack seemandhra people residing in Telangana. Many thought that situation will change after the formation of Telangana but things remained the same. Now even people got used and take pride to be addressed as settlers.
Congress party
Former Minister Marri Sashidhar Reddy of Congress party attacked Telangana government headed by KCR of targeting settlers in Sanath Nagar in the name of Adhar interlinking. He said Government is planning to delete more than 54% voters.
He said Bhanvar Lal,state election commissioner who promised to put the list of deleted names is now going silent. He said he will go to Delhi and lodge complaint against him with the CEC .
