The Telangana government has been writing several letters to the Godavari River Management Board opposing its Pattiseema Project. Telangana need not fear this project since it was only being constructed to use the surplus waters going as waste in to Bay of Bengal.
Telangana’s main opposition to the project is only for troubling Chandrababu Naidu as much as possible. But to the upstream from where rivers enter TS, Karnataka government is building many illegal projects in its state.
These projects if and when completed will be depriving water for Telangana. TRS didn’t bother when Maharashtra was constructing Babli project and rather ridiculed TDP’s protests against the project.
The project has been completed now and has created severe water problems for North Telangana. If KCR government continues the same stand, Karnataka government will deprive Telangana of its rightful share, So, it would better that KCR shift his focus towards the right priorities!
