The 2nd ODI between india and west indies took place at vishakapatnam today. kieron pollard who won the toss opted to bowl considering the dew factor. kohli also confessed that he would have fielded first. rohit sharma and rahul opened the innings.
Both played cautiously and also aggressive at the same time. west indies never got the breakthrough and both the openers flourished with a ton respectively. rahul fell after his century knock and kohli had a rare golden duck. shreyas iyer joined with rohit and rohit scored his 8th 150+ score in ODI's. He fell at 159 and then came rishabh Pant.
Both pant and Shreya Iyer elevated the score at an exponential rate and ensured india has a safe score. india completed the innings with 387 and west indies came to bat with a target of 388. Chasing 388 mammoth target, they lost 3 wickets within 100 runs and Shai Hope and Pooran lashed indian bowling attack. Then Pooran got out of Shami's ball and finally, west indies got out for 280. Kuldeep Yadav got his 2nd Hat-Trick and he became the first indian to get two hat-tricks in ODIs.
