Australia who are currently touring in Sri Lanka faced some humiliating defeats in first two tests. The final test happens in Colombo. Sri Lanka batted 355/9 in first Innings and Australia lost David warner cheaply once again. However Shaun Marsh and Steven Smith continued a strong partnership.
They made a strong partnership of 214. Marsh reached 110 and Smith was on 104. This is just the second time, An Australian pair has made double century partnership in Asia and the first instance also featured Marsh.
He put on 258 with Michael Hussey for the fourth wicket. Marsh has used his feet well throughout this innings, working the ball through gaps along the ground, and it could hardly be a finer audition for a place in Australia's line-up for next year's Test tour of India.
Few minutes back the team has completed the tea break with 316/4. Marsh fell for 130 to Lakmal and Steven Smith fell to Herath at 119. Herath has bowled 31 overs for the day so far and he has bowled with an economy of just 2 RPO.
