The new edition of IPL has grabbed eyeballs as this time it's going to be bigger and better. Right from the telecast channel to the sponsors, everyone has been replaced and changed. Also, the suspended teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are making a comeback after 2 years.
Also from this season, there will be a change in timings. Afternoon matches will start at 5.30pm and night matches will start at 7 pm. Earlier, they started at 4 pm and 8 pm So, this means the timings are going to be overlapped on double-header days.
An IPL Official said, "We need to do this as all matches are going to be played in peak summer heat." The change in timings is also approved by Star India which has the Global broadcast rights. The IPL will end on May 27, 2018.
