The 15th match of the Vivo IPL 2018, between Kolkata knight riders and Rajasthan royals began with Rajasthan Royals batting first. Openers Rahane and short set the tone for a Big score, with their fine shots, before being dismissed for 36 and 44 respectively. 



And then followed a slump, as none of the middle and lower order, barring Jos Butler who stood for a while to score 24, survived, and ultimately, the Rajasthan Royals innings was wrapped for 160/8. Nitish Rana and Curran claimed 2 scalps each. Then entered the KKR batsmen, with Lynn being dismissed cheap, giving a shock for the team.



However, Sunil Narine began scoring at a steady rate and anchored an innings, forging a partnership with Uthappa, before falling for 35.  Uthappa followed suit, as he departed scoring 48, and entered Nitish Rana the most promising all-rounder, who played a calm, composed knock of 35*  in the company of skipper Dinesh Karthik who displayed calculation aggression scoring 48(23b , 2x4,2x6) as the duo propelled KKR to victory, achieving the target with 7 wickets left, scoring 163/3.
