The third T20 match of West Indies tour of India began with Windies winning the toss and opting to bat first. Hope and Hetmyer gave a decent start to Windies, as they scored steadily before Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed both Hopes 24(22)  and Hetmyer 26(21), with Windies at 2/62.



Dwayne Bravo stood firm, before being dismissed after scoring a valuable 43(37), before Pooran launched an onslaught, an unexpected one, as he scored a quickfire, belligerent knock of 53(25b, 4x4,4x6)* taking Windies to 181/3, with Chahal ending with impressive figures of 2/28.



Indian batting began disastrously, as skipper Rohit Sharma (4) departed early, followed by KL Rahul who was dismissed by Thomas for 17. Opener Shikhar Dhawan  joined hands with Rishab Pant, forging a partnership to steady the innings, scoring impressive half centuries. Dhawan ended with 92(62b, 10x4,2x6) and Rishabh Pant scored 58(38b, 5x4,3x6), taking India to 182/4, and a thrilling victory by 6 wickets.
