The second T20 match of India's tour of Australia began with Australia winning toss and batting first. Though openers Short and Finch gave a decent start, they were both dismissed sooner, with Short out on 33 and Finch on 28. After dismissing short, Pandya claimed Maxwell quickly for 13. 



Pandya further dented the Aussie batting by dismissing McDermott and Carey(27), before stoinis did some tail resurrection to score a quick 25(15)* taking Aussies to 164/6. Pandya ended with impressive figures of 4/36.



Indian batting began steadily before losing Rohit Sharma for 23(16), while Shikhar Dhawan continued his form to score 41(22b,6x4,2x6), before being dismissed. Skipper Virat Kohli entered and proved yet again his finishing quality, and scored a stunning unbeaten 61(41b,4x4,2x6)* accompanied by Dinesh Karthik 22(18)* to take India to a comfortable victory leading to 168/4 with 2 balls to spare, leveling the three-match series 1-1.
