WhipDart, an online logistics hub currently operational in Mumbai, helps
customers find the right logistics partner basis their needs. Founded in
September 2015 by Shivam Bhalla and Suraj Vaishnav, WhipDart aims to be the
one-stop solution to all logistics requirements and relevant information.
With more than 1,000 logistics service providers already registered on the portal, WhipDart plans to introduce its services in other metro cities as well. The company has also tied up with Flipkart for intra-city deliveries and intercity logistics solutions. It is in talks with other e-commerce players like Amazon, Aramex for catering their logistics needs.
Commenting on the same, Shivam Bhalla said; “I was working with one of the leading logistics firms where I realized that there was a lack of knowledge and awareness among customers. People did not know which logistics partner to contact for different types of goods. Also, the whole process is very time-consuming and requires a lot of effort for an individual to gather information such as the list of cargo agents, mode of transport, tempo service provider, documentation, exact rates in the market etc. I felt that there was a huge ambiguity among consumers; that is when the idea of forming WhipDart germinated. Our focus at WhipDart is to solve all issues pertaining to logistics for the consumers, making the work effortless.”
He further added, “As a next step we plan to expand our operations in Delhi and to other metro cities in the near future. We are in talks with Investone Ventures to close our series A round of funding. The funds will be used to grow and expand our operations and build a robust IT backend for seamless operations.
WhipDart plans to introduce priority options like Next-day-delivery, and same-day-delivery. This will help the company associate with restaurants and other retail stores like grocery, gift and medical shops to provide them with affordable delivery solutions.
With WhipDart, one can now easily choose from a vast list of registered logistics service providers and can avail hassle free documentation for import & export of goods, which otherwise is a tedious task. Apart from this, regular updates and information on the logistics industry is easily available on their knowledge center.
