Losing weight is an arduous task for many, but there are a few like Shweta Rai Bajaj who have not only completed the arduous task, but also made it their goal to inspire others. Shweta is a fitness trainer who will be soon launching her chain of fitness centres across NCR.
Shweta said “I was a working woman and happy with my life. However, due to lack of time and spending hours in commuting from home to office and back, I had put on a lot of weight. I didn’t pay attention to it until I was diagnosed with diabetes and multiple other health problems on account of my weight. It was an alarm bell. So, after the birth of my daughter (when she was 18 months old), I started exercising to lose weight. I didn’t come to know when I became addicted to exercises and weight training. It was disappointing to know that there were very few trainers for women for weight training. I became a certified trainer and started taking fitness sessions for women of different age groups. Today, my clients range from the age group of 13 to 50 years old,” adding that she has got a new direction in life after losing weight. “I realised that weight loss is not just about healthy living, it can change your life. I realised that fitness is not just about physical transformation, but also mental peace.
She added "A healthy body is an asset and we must aim for it. This is what I have been telling women who come up to me looking for inspiration and advice. I want to take my fitness training to all parts of india and help women who might be struggling to lose weight".
