Chennai sources reported that the Tamilnadu government has proposed to install GPS devices on the vehicles carrying the essentials and also CCTVs will be installed at the godowns, State Food and Civil Supplies Minister R. Kamaraj has informed. 'About Rs 20 crore will be spent to fix GPS devices on the lorries transporting the essential commodities from the TN Civil Supplies Godowns to the fair price shops across the state.
Hyderabad sources reported that in a freak fire accident which took place on Friday, a short circuit is said to have caused a gas cylinder explosion in a paint godown near Ranigunj's Bombay Hotel. As per report no loss of life was reported, a massive fire broke out engulfing nearby places. Meanwhile the police are evacuating people in the area to ensure their safety. On the other hand, the fire service personnel are trying to control the fire.
