Mahankali Review : Story


Mahankali[Rajasekhar] is an encounter specialist in police department, who belives in instant justice & spot punishment to criminals. He comes into clash with Dubai based mafia don Harshad[Pradeep Rawat] and local don Naayak Bhai[Prabhakar]. How Rajasekhar keeps an end to these dons forms the rest of the story.

Mahankali Review : Star Performances


As usual Rajasekhar has done police officer role with natural ease and did centpercent justice to his role. Sai Kumar voice has matched completely well with Rajasekhar expressions and looked apt on screen. New face Madhurima made her debut as heroine with this flick, she looked cute but did not had much scope in the film because of short role given to her. Pradeep Rawat is not so effective in role of a mafia don. Annapurna, Nalini, Jeeva, Chalapathi Rao had roles just for namesake with not much importance in the movie.

Mahankali Review : Direction, Music & Technical Aspects


Jeevitha has failed totally in the direction department and her inexperience can be sensed in every scene. Music direction by Chinna is very weak, there are three songs which are not impressvie and even background score falls shorts to build seriousness to film. Dialogues inked by Rajasekhar are not upto the mark. Editing is also one of the core member of bad technical team.

Mahankali Review : Analysis


Rajasekhar and Jeevitha has made an attempt to show a powerful police story adding current social, political incidents through this film. But they had forgot one thing that for a film subject like this one need a right script, good characters, blood pumping key scenes, gripping screenplay, effective background score and these are completely missing to core in this movie.   The cinematic liberty taken in the film looks too odd and undigestable at times. There are no commercial elements in the movie, which dissapoints most of the audiences and especially running  the film on serious note from starting to end will irritate you to peeks. On top of it slow phased narration, predictable scenes bouncing back to back and not a single effective scenes that will make you stick to screen. The film is xerox copy of Hindi movie 'Risk' with Randeep Hooda in lead role and Vinod Khanna playing negitive role. The content of film is suitable to Rajasekhar but adding scenes to match Telugu audiences, more evaluation of hero character has spoiled it.
