Boochi Review: Story
Film start's with voice over of RGV saying his story plot, that there are no reasons why ghost like few houses and stays only in them. Tarun [JD Chakravarthy] his wife Namrata [Manisha] and their kids Nimmi [Alayna], Taman will rent a well furnished house in the city. Nimmi founds an imaginary friend Shabbo and keeps herself busy playing with her. Tarun’s sister Pooja [Madhu Shalini] comes for a surprise visit to their house to spend holidays with them. During her stay wired stuff will be happening during the night times in the house. Pooja fixes few webcams in the house and finds out that the house is hunted & Shaboo is ghost , what happens from their forms the rest of the story.
Boochi Review : Star Performances
J. D. Chakravarthy has given a decent performance which is expected from him.His expressions and voice modulations through out the film are good.
Manisha Koirala looked aged and floppy in this film. Her character has has nothing to perform, other than shouting at Nimmi and doing few crying scenes.
Madhu Shalini is the only visual treat to watch on screen in this flick. She has apt expressions which are required in scenes given to her, she left her mark in this movie.
Child artist Alayana Sharma is star of this film, she has acted very confidently in her debut movie. Her cute smile and expressions are must watch in this movie.
Boochi Review : Direction, Music & Technical Aspects
RGV has once again failed to recreate the magic of horror movies he made in the past. His direction & taking was ok but screenplay and his dragging slow scenes makes you laugh but not scares you.
Cinematography by Harshraj Shroff & M. Ravichandran Thevar looks unimpressive with most of shoots being zoomed at actors face. Editing by Sunil M. Wadhwani makes you feel terrible while watching the movie.
Back ground music given by Sandeep Chowta is the only savior of this movie. His sound effects gave little flow and make you realize that its horror film that you bought ticket for.
