Superstar Rajnikanth began the year with the successful karthik Subbaraj directorial Petta, bankrolled by Sun Pictures, and is shooting his next movie Darbar helmed by AR murugadoss and bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
Last week director Siva met Superstar Rajnikanth at his Poes Garden residence, when rajinikanth had watched Siva's Viswasam and appreciated his he conceived sentimental scenes. The latest buzz is that Superstar Rajnikanth will be teaming with Siva, and this project will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu who had earlier produced Kabali and an official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
Superstar rajinikanth, post the mediocre response to his last few releases, is keeping his heads high. The actor is keen to score success in Tamil Nadu Box-Office as his last release 'Petta' ended as a failure during pongal clash with 'Viswasam'. He currently works for 'Darbar'. Directed by AR murugadoss after the disastrous movie Sarkar this movie is bankrolled by lyca productions and will have Superstar paired with Lady Superstar Nayanthara and will also star Nivetha Thomas, yogi Babu, Kathir, dalip tahil, Shreya Gupta and prateik babbar.
