Actor Suriya last acted in the political entertainer NGK directed by Selvaraghavan and co-starring Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh, which has become disastrous and he's now moved on to his 38th movie Soorarai Pottru. The actor pins high hopes on this venture as his recent releases are failing.
Soorarai Pottru helmed by Irudhi Suttru fame sudha Kongara is the biopic of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath and co-stars aparna Balamurali and the shooting is in progress in Chennai. It's now official that Tollywood actor mohan babu has joined Soorarai Pottru and that he has begun shooting for his part. GV Prakash composes music for Soorarai Pottru, bankrolled by Suriya's 2D Entertainments.
