andhra pradesh Legislative assembly has adopted a resolution empowering the Speaker to take necessary action against those elected representatives and others who created a ruckus in the assembly premises on Wednesday. The video clippings of the previous day scuffle were shown repeatedly in the house and the Ruling party alleged that the former chief minister called the Chief Marshal as Bastard.
The Speaker said that the language used during the incident was derogatory and unparliamentary and when emotions were running high it could be possible for the slip of tongue at the spur of the moment and some such words had come out, which we cannot deny. The speaker asked Chandrababu to express regret on the issue but the latter did not heed.
When there was no proper reply from the Opposition benches, the resolution was read out and it was adopted which enables the Speaker to take action against the tdp legislators and others present in assembly premises. It has to be seen if the Speaker will take any disciplinary action on Chandrababu Naidu. If so, it will sham to see the Opposition leader getting reprimanded for indiscipline.
