Reportedly while kcr aspired to move to national politics and even planned to become Prime Minister if Federal Front comes to power, kcr had planned to make ktr as the CM of Telangana if TRS sweeps 16 out of 17 parliament seats in Lok Sabha polls. Meanwhile at the same time, kcr had planned to induct kavitha into Union Cabinet (as it was missed last time due to BJP's numbers) this time if BJP/NDA fall short of numbers.
Furthermore in a complete contrary to kcr's aspirations, 2019 general elections gave a rude shock and BJP has not only crossed 300 mark on its own, While NDA won in 343 seats against previous 336 seats in 2014. Apparently if this is not enough, the biggest shocker to kcr and TRS came in the form of Kavitha's defeat. kavitha had lost to BJP's Dharmapuri Arvind by a large margin.
Moreover after the embarrassment of the loss in 7 Parliament seats, two ministers may be shown the door. Perhaps one among them could be education Minister Jagadish Reddy who hails from Nalgonda where two Lok Sabha constituencies (Nalgonda, Bhuvanagiri) were lost to Congress' Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy venkat Reddy. Reportedly it is buzzed in TRS circles that kavitha could be inducted into kcr's cabinet during his next cabinet reshuffle that is expected to take place in June. However, kcr and TRS is said to be worried about "criticism" if kavitha is also taken into cabinet along with his son ktr and the suspense over ministry to Harish Rao continues.
