Reportedly the Nadigar Sangam elections that was set to happen this Friday has been called off by the Registrar of Societies on Wednesday afternoon. Meanwhile this news, however, seems to have come as a surprise to both parties nassar-Vishal’s Pandavar Ani and Bhagyaraj-Iswari Ganesan’s Shankaradas Ani.

Furthermore a statement from the Registrar states that based on a complaint from 61 members on June 6, the Registrar has decided to peruse the matter further and decide when the elections will be held. Apparently the 61 members had complained that they were removed from the voters' list by Pandavar Ani to skew the election results in their favor and these members demanded to know why they were removed from the Sangam.

Moreover in the response letter to the Registrar dated June 17, Vishal has stated that of the 61, 44 members have been changed to amateur artists, 4 of them have been removed based on disciplinary action and 13 are eligible to vote in this elections. The letter also states that the members did not submit any details when the Sangam was preparing a list for its “Data Base”. He concludes by saying, “We will follow your orders based on your deduction of the investigations conducted with them.”
